Welcome to Connected Stars, a 24-hour residential home that provides support to young people between the ages of 16-21. Our mission is to create a safe and nurturing environment where young people can develop the skills they need to live an independent and fulfilling life. We believe that every young person deserves the opportunity to succeed, and we are committed to providing the support they need to make that happen.

We currently provide person-centred support for young people with:
Learning difficulties; Gilles de la Tourette's syndrome; Autistic spectrum; attention deficit hyperactivity disorder; Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder; Autistic spectrum disorder; Development delays global; Speech/language develop discord; Laxity of ligament wide; Gender Transition; Oppositional defiant disorder; Suicidal tendencies; self-harm; substance misuse.

OUR HISTORY

Connected Stars was founded by a team of experienced professionals who were passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young people. Since then, we have supported hundreds of young people who have faced a range of challenges, from homelessness and family breakdown to mental health issues and substance misuse. We are proud of the impact we have made, and we are committed to continuing to grow and evolve to meet the changing needs of young people.

OUR APPROACH

At Connected Stars, we believe that every young person is unique, with their own strengths, weaknesses, and areas of need. That's why we provide individualized support plans that are tailored to the specific needs of each young person we work with. We offer a range of services that are designed to support young people in every aspect of their lives, from safe and comfortable accommodation to life skills training and job readiness programs. Our goal is to help each young person develop the skills they need to live an independent and fulfilling life, and to achieve their goals.

ETHOS

At Connected Stars, we take pride in offering top-quality support within a harmonious and high-quality environment. We believe in taking a proactive approach to support, focusing on prevention rather than simply reacting to crises. We recognize the importance of understanding triggers, as well as the setting events that led up to them, so that we can help our youth build the skills and confidence they need to navigate challenging situations.

Our approach is centered around empowering individuals to believe in themselves, to develop self-confidence, and to become more self-reliant. We believe that every young person has the potential to achieve great things, and we are dedicated to helping them realize their goals. With our support, young people can gain the skills they need to become more independent, to pursue their passions, and to live fulfilling lives.

Connected Stars are actively working together with psychiatrists, social workers, Catch 22, CAMHS and other professionals who are involved with our young people.
